Adventure Racing race (AR World Champs) 7:49:10 [4] 60.7 km (7:44 / km)

1000 - The prologue to the AR World Champs. A quick sprint race around Cascais, Estoril and Sintra.

Apparently was 12th on the day. More details to follow as soon as I get split times.

Note

AR World Champs start tomorrow with a 7hr prologue. Big race will probably start around Tuesday morning or so. Total race distance 907km.

1100 - Short ride from Vila Bicuda out towards the Sintra mountains. Turned back after a while when it got too wet. Mx 45.1 Av 20.1

Paddling 30:00 [3] 4.0 km (7:30 / km)

1200 - Spent some time on the sit-on-top sea kayaks for Portugal XPD. Went into and out of the surf a few times before a loop through Cascais harbour.

1300 - From Cascais harbour along the beachfront and then back to Vila Bicuda.

1600 - Made it across 2300km of driving from Switzerland to Portugal and was reunited with my bike (and the rest of the team). We celebrated by going for a ride down at the ocean.
