Quick pelt around Burbage Skyline - from South Boulders up to the top, cross the brook at the bridge, along to the 'nick' then back across Carl Wark and up past the kidney stone to one in the middle.

Tried some 5+ and 6a's - my fingers feel like they have been grated on a massive cheese grater - not been outside for over 9 months - i can feel it!

Ran to intervals and back with Jon. Watched the intervals and did a few but was careful of my ankle on the slippy grass. Nice and dark.

Biking with Jon. After work session from home to stanage pole (nearly) and back along the parks - might have even caught a glimpse of al buckley near the top?
good downhill but felt as though it had been a while - my arms feel like jelly.

Burbage round - up over burbage north crags, down to the south along the path past the boulders to the wood, felt crap as stomach still acting up a bit - then crocked my ankle jumping over the stream. idiot!

Speed Session with Jon. Felt knackered but was really strong and really pushed on the hills and the downhills... great session even if we couldn't really see a thing due to the fog/dark and the wet. E-lites are a good thing...especially the red flashing mode for the traffic on the way back.
Loved it. Pumped for orienteering after the weekend!

ORIENTEERING race (25 Manna) 52:00 [5] *** 8.3 km (6:16 / km) +140m 5:47 / km

I ran 24th leg after a few changes to the teams (Västerås SOK 2nd Team).

The 24th is the male anchor leg and is the longest and also ungaffled. Felt ok to start off with and pushed very hard to the first control - maybe a little too hard as it was over 1.5km away... stomach felt crap but carried on hard...
Got caught by Matthias Gilgien from Södertälje (now i realise he is pretty good) - this annoyed me sumwhat that I couldn't keep up with him - but kept going.
Enjoyed the last bit and made minimal technical errors - max a minute - to brin VSOK #2 back in 60th place.

Took a trip (I drove in sweden!) out to Tillberga to the north of Västerås for some short and sharp orienteering med Oli och Jenny. Nice area with small hills and rocks. Felt good and quite fast but my stomach was still a little dodgy. Hopefully it would wear off for the next days race. My ankles knew i hadn't done much terrain running recently!

Travelled out to Västerås from Stansted.

I have only run with Västerås SOK a couple of times for actual 'running' training and the areas around the club hut are so nice! It's pretty flat with great trails that go on for hours in all directions.
Nice and steady training run with the 'big boys' (Oli, Andreas and others...) through the forests to the north of the city and around Rocklunda and back.

Stomach felt a little dodgy, nothing major but felt pretty uncomfortable - maybe from a massive lunch at Rufford park with my granddad!

Bouldering at the Climbing works with JennyJ and Shane.

Did the green and pink sport circuit (probably the easy ones). Really good as it consisted of 36 routes and got around them all. I now realise that I'm too fast and need to compose myself - although i can do them all - its all about TECHNIQUE!!

First Circuits session for a while..ouch.
did session with Tom E, Rhys and Mike. Tom showed off his press up skills as usual - gym bunny.... and my ribs now hurt a little.
Good session - actualy can't wai t for 45-15;s... agh! I can tell i havent done it for a year and a half!!

Warm up for circuits - running to Goodwin (up the Vale) then warm up there - and finally stretches and warm down after and run home.
