To the start... nearly missed it (well i did actually... on the line with 1m20 to go!)

After scuffing my knee and leg yesterday, the long race was going to be a challenge and it was. With my knee very hard to bend and hurting with nearly every step, I managed to hobble round the 16km course with relative ease.
My navigation however was pretty poor where it mattered and I always seemed to assume that the controls would be at the top of the slopes rather than the bottoms, so wasted a lot of time climbing up muddy slopes!!!
Anyway, cut a long story short, I finished. Hobbling and not running as fast as I have done in recent weeks, it sure was nice to get to the end.

Leg stiffening up again! ouch!
