Running 47:40 [2] 5.01 mi (9:31 / mi)
ahr:125 max:143 shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 18 blue

Triple stroller to daycare and back. Feeling a bit heavy in the legs.

Biking 40:00 [1] 8.5 mi (4:42 / mi)

Bike to/from work. Felt good to spin the legs a bit.

Running warm up/down 2:23 [1] 0.21 mi (11:21 / mi)
ahr:130 max:137 shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 18 blue

Quick escape from the kids!

Orienteering race 22:20 [4] 2.19 mi (10:12 / mi)
ahr:158 max:175 shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 18 blue

Cabrillo College F21E sprint course. I know I'm capable of something 4-5 min faster, but I was distracted by kids and not feeling particularly motivated to run hard. Decided it's best to save myself for Tuesday's workout!

Orienteering 23:19 [5] 2.69 mi (8:40 / mi)
ahr:165 max:176 shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 18 blue

A little more motivated for this one and navigated a bit better. Now done with my 46+ mile week-long orienteering binge. I did reasonably well considering that I had not run a course since June 2018! Now back to our regularly scheduled marathon training program... CIM here I come.

Running warm up/down 3:32 [1] 0.3 mi (11:46 / mi)
ahr:113 max:143 shoes: Icebug Spirit5

Warm-up to start

Orienteering race 1:28:26 [4] 6.28 mi (14:05 / mi) +425m 11:38 / mi
ahr:154 max:175 shoes: Icebug Spirit5

Big Basin F21E long. The good news is that this went much better than yesterday. Minimal mistakes; just some potentially unoptimal route choice. The bad news is that I took an action movie style spill (leap & roll) and may have broken a finger. Hope this doesn't affect stroller running!

Running warm up/down 23:00 [2] 1.94 mi (11:51 / mi) +110m 10:05 / mi
ahr:131 max:161 shoes: Icebug Spirit5

Cool-down to the falls and back.

Running warm up/down 8:08 [1] 0.75 mi (10:51 / mi)
shoes: Icebug Spirit5

Warm-up to start. I thought there was supposed to be a "quiet zone" here, but quiet it was most definitely not! Chaos upon arrival, with my group getting started 2 min late.

Orienteering race 1:13:46 [2] 3.55 mi (20:47 / mi) +225m 17:22 / mi
shoes: Icebug Spirit5

Big Basin F21E middle. The good news is that I ran slow enough so as not to damage my L foot further. The bad news is that I ran slow enough that I am now officially, legitimately terrible at map navigation. Thank goodness this is just a side diversion from marathon training... I think I prefer _trail_ races at this venue. Well, my legs did appreciate getting a bit of a recovery day today.

Orienteering race 3:12:00 [3] 15.19 mi (12:38 / mi) +760m 10:56 / mi
ahr:142 max:173 shoes: Icebug Spirit5

3-hour score-O at Crooked River National Grassland. I had high hopes of clearing the course, but the terrain was pretty rocky and I spent too much time bumbling around in the beginning. Ended up missing five, including #68, 58, 57, 67, and 40 (though I swear I was at the rocks of #68! Was it misplaced?) and coming in over 10 min late. Whooops.

Conditions were sunny and fairly warm, and I went through my entire 1.5L bladder full of electrolyte drink. Declined to eat anything, which probably contributed to me bonking a bit by the end. On another note, Attackpoint tells me that I have run 77 miles in the past 7 days! Woah, that has got to be an all-time high. Unfortunately the price I pay is the impending loss of my big toenail :(

Central Oregon Community College: 2.9km sprint course

Running warm up/down 10:28 [1] 1.03 mi (10:10 / mi) +45m 8:57 / mi
ahr:133 max:153 shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 18 blue

Cool down around the campus. Hey, look what I found at the water fountain!

Running warm up/down 2:24 [1] 0.23 mi (10:26 / mi)
ahr:107 max:122 shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 18 blue

"Warming up" again. Just kidding, it's pretty hot here!

Orienteering race 20:26 [4] 2.16 mi (9:28 / mi) +100m 8:16 / mi
ahr:160 max:172 shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 18 blue

Shevlin Park: another 2.9k sprint course. There was more climbing on this one. And was clearly not thinking as straight this afternoon- my brain feels decidedly oxygen deprived. I lost over a minute on 4-5 by going north on the wrong trail. Also managed to convinced myself that 11 was on the east side of the trail and overshot it by quite a bit.

Running warm up/down 57 [1] 0.1 mi (9:30 / mi)
ahr:117 max:128 shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 18 blue

Dragging myself back to the car.
