Didnt run again until this warm up/down for the sprint.. talk about rubbish prep! At least I woke up recovered finally..

Orienteering race (Oceania Sprint - 3rd) 17:10 [5] *** 3.7 km (4:38 / km) +32m 4:27 / km

Still confused as to what happened here. Started, ran into a chain almost straight away and thought I'd broken something. Got up, made little mistakes on the next few controls, focus shot. Back in control but just the aggression was gone all of a sudden - ended up more than a minute back (15s mistake later). Strangest feeling in a sprint I've had, knew it was going bad but couldn't do anything. Weirder still to get 3rd - guess luck with results was on my side!

Was hoping for a couple of short mass starts. Ended up essentially as a race, led nicely through a few controls then my calfs just started to explode. Gave up just after halfway, got a week before Oceanias. Feel odd

In the new shoes. Felt a tad unfit/sore, ran a few of .5-.8 then a ~1.2 tempo to finish. (sprint)
