Note

It was nice to take a short break from training. Ready to start back up! I think my orienteering speed is now limited by my fitness (in most types of terrain), so the plan is to focus on speed and strength.

Goals:
Winter - Build a solid base. Incorporate strength training.
Spring/Summer - Go faster.
Summer/Fall - Go farther. Ultra in the fall?

Exploring a new park. It's pretty close to our house, but we hadn't gone before because we thought it was small. Turns out that it's actually decent sized! Lots of trails, not absurdly hilly, well marked/mapped. It was very muddy though which made for slow going. Kevin didn't wear his trail shoes and was sliding all over. We'll definitely go back.

Easy spin on the trainer. Couldn’t get my heart rate strap to connect. Quads are very sore from yesterday.
