Parked at Upper Works and assembled all our backpacking gear/food. Hiked in to Calamity with full packs. Light rain almost the entire way. Pitched our tent at a nice site near a lake.

Hiking 32:06 [2] 0.93 mi (34:31 / mi)

Attempted to hike to Hanging Spear Falls, but it would have required wading across a wide and fast flowing river, so we gave up on that and played cards in the tent.

Out and back down the canal trail near my parent's house. Paved to the trail (~3 mi each way) and then the rest was gravel/dirt. Legs felt fine for the first half...and as soon as we turned around they were done. Good mental training I suppose. Hill on the back actually helped, provided a slight change of pace.

Seneca Lake w/ full body wetsuit. It was a little windy, swimming into the waves on the way out wasn't that fun. It was great on the way back though. Best open water swim to date.
