Hike around Hays Woods. We had never been here before and it was a bit more of an adventure than we expected. There were trails…but they were pretty overgrown. Would not be a good trail running venue. Forgot to track so time/distance are estimated.

Loop starting at Cooper's Rock that included a neat section of rock formations (Rock City) and a visit to the Henry Clay Furnace. It was a bit farther than we anticipated, but we had plenty of water and snacks so it was fine. Some cloud cover kept the temperature quite comfortable.

The forecast thunderstorms never materialized so we went to check out the reservoir near the campground. It was pretty small. Had a great weekend. I'd definitely come back here for some trail running and mountain biking.

Camped at Cooper's Rock for the weekend. Started off the morning with a hike out to Raven's Rock. Beautiful weather and some nice views. Although the views did coincide with a power line.
