OY at McAdams. includes warm up and warm down. couldn't read the map at 1 and did a dumb lap of the rocks. then smashed my knee on a rock and took a while to decide whether I was going to keep going. Eventually figured it didn't hurt too much to run on so kept going. The next couple of controls were ok, but 5 and 6 were in the lantana - which wasn't mapped very well. massive lantana bash wasn't very fun.
The last part of the course was back out in the nice stuff.
Still grassy today, but this paddock is grazed and it makes such a big difference.

Note

Another field work week. didn't cop the same heat as last week, but still v tired. the early starts were definitely not appreciated after the weekend. feeling like I'm skull dragging myself through the week.

Hopefully I'll get to catch up on a bit of rest this weekend and get going again.

Have also heard a rumour that one of the cranes for the new kangaroo point bridge construction (not the one that nearly got loose) was on its way to milton to try to remove drift restaurant from the bike path.

MSW KO qual. Yarra valley grammar. Cruised around. no point going any harder with everyone going through.

MSW KO QF. so cruising the first round landed me in a tough QF (maybe I should have run faster). Ended up on the same split as Justine from Canberra, who was running pretty smoothly. Nea and Shannon on the other split. J had a couple of wobbles, but was back with me real quick, and the course wasn't tricky enough to cause much trouble. She was still with me coming to the finish, and just ran away. N & S already in, so I was predictably 4th.

MSW losers final at whitefriars. had a cruise around the non KO course. fun area, but legs were totally cooked. pretty glad I didn't have to pretend to race again.
