Running warm up/down 50:00 [1]

Both races
9 AM

Orienteering 16:55 intensity: (2:28 @1) + (5:52 @2) + (2:32 @3) + (5:47 @4) + (16 @5) 2.84 km (5:58 / km)
ahr:147 max:174

MSW NOL @Mawson lakes. Another tricky sprint with lots of fences. mostly a good run, but had a brain fade on the long leg 10-11 and turned back into the school early. legs made it about halfway this time.
3 PM

Orienteering 32:04 intensity: (23 @1) + (1:40 @2) + (5:06 @3) + (18:07 @4) + (6:48 @5) 4.3 km (7:27 / km) +118m 6:33 / km
ahr:165 max:198

MSW NOL relay on a hill. 3rd leg. went out with Asha and she led me astray straight away - we ended up on the unmarked tracks in the green. also didn't realise it was 1:7500 and hadn't gone nearly far enough. found a flag and figured it was on my second loop, and calibrated brain from there - but had blown about 4 mins in the process. The rest was hot and hard, but at least I was going in the right direction. got smoked by Asha in the finish. my third leg super powers have well and truly abandoned me.
fun course if you'd had the legs for it.

Running warm up/down 50:00 [1]

Both races
9 AM

Orienteering 19:05 intensity: (1:49 @1) + (6:01 @2) + (1:17 @3) + (9:58 @4) 3.16 km (6:03 / km)
ahr:150 max:172

MSW non-NOL sprint. Nice little warm up, but a little long. upper level stuff was fun, just a pity we only had one up control.
Ran out of legs by the end, despite taking it very easy. This does not bode well for the rest of the weekend.
4 PM

Orienteering 17:14 intensity: (28 @1) + (1:22 @2) + (7:58 @3) + (4:17 @4) + (3:09 @5) 2.96 km (5:49 / km) +3m 5:47 / km
ahr:158 max:176

MSW NOL @ Assumption college. Nice technical sprint where you had to pay attention to every leg. lots of tricky fences to keep you on your toes. fast running too, and legs held up for about 2/3 - real struggle at the end.

Cycling 41:27 intensity: (27:05 @1) + (12:39 @2) + (1:43 @3) 16.1 km (2:34 / km) +166m 2:27 / km
ahr:120 max:150

long way into work. not sure how much motivation I'll have for doing the long option on a daily basis. its 60% extra distance, but about 20 extra sets of traffic lights, so takes twice as long.

word is that fixing the coro drive bike path will take months. no ok.
7 PM

Cycling 40:09 intensity: (15:42 @1) + (14:01 @2) + (9:59 @3) + (27 @4) 15.06 km (2:40 / km) +127m 2:34 / km
ahr:130 max:161

A different way home via Ithaca creek bike path. Bit shorter and more fun. Also saw a big carpet snake.
This is definitely a better way home, but heading in it starts with a nasty steep climb.

Note

Two very long hot days in the field. Even had to do my own hand augering today. Cooked.
