Orienteering race 45:28 [4]

Oceania relay with Nicola and Rachel. nice terrain and not too technical (although still managed to run around in a pointless circle at 5). fun run and got a certificate for coming 5th.

Oceania long. Awesome terrain and one of those great long distance courses that feels like its taking you on a big adventure. just took it steady and enjoyed it - no fitness to race at the moment and trying to preserve the body for wmoc.

Orienteering race 19:08 [4] 3.0 km (6:23 / km)

Oceania sprint. somehow made it to this event - cancelled flight on thursday and late morning flight friday meant that there was virtually no chance of getting to the event - I was still 2/3 of the way across the tasman when my start time passed. my only hope was to get to the event before the starts actually closed and see what I could talk my way into. I got some help from Juliana, Su Yan and Wendy who organised for my number to be waiting at the start for me and spoke to the start team. I got changed into running gear on the plane and managed a miracle run through auckland airport. my taxi driver was super keen to get me to the race and dropped me of right at the start.. just on 1530. the start team were very helpful and let me take a moment to sort myself out pre-run. the run itself was nothing special, but the course was quite fun (and a bit of a mud slide), and it was great to have done it to get back into O mode after a stressful couple of days. they even let me have my running time without the 2hr delay! (I guess it helped that I was not troubling the overall results at all). thanks everyone who helped me get a run in!

hot yoga. got through the class without pissing off hammy injury. could feel it, but not sore. massive improvement!
