got home from straddie just as the rain started. 174mm in toowong this afternoon.
quite sore today, and still have post cold blocked up head, but the rogaine doesn't seem to have done me too much harm.

Straddie rogaine with James. Wasn't too sure how this would go. Not sure whether I'd be any good walking. .. running had already been ruled out, and we had no idea how tough the terrain would be. And we were late getting there and had about 3 mins planning time. Worked out a route for the eastern part of the map and figured we'd sort the rest later. Got 3 hrs in on a steady 4 km/hr having done the hard bit. Planned the rest on that basis and figured we could clear the course. Things went nearly to plan but we got slowed down by about a km of bashing through dodder infested heath. Started cramping then. .. really should have packed some electrolytes. In the end we had 20 mins to get the last 20 pointer - about 1.5 km but it was past the hash house and neither of us could be bothered. 2nd in the end. Gary and Kellie had cleared it with an hour to spare.

was planning on hiding at home today, but the chainsaws next door started at 7. two building sites in our street, plus road resurfacing to start today meant that the office was going to be a much quieter place to hang out.
