Orienteering race 16:01 [5]

NOL sprint final at UNSW. Second last starter in the B final. Good courses and a good area. Focused on running smoothly and making sure I was planning ahead and not over running things. It would have been nice to have a bit more speed, but I'm pretty happy with the run.
Great to see Krystal take the win!

Orienteering race 14:30 [5]

NOL sprint relay at Sydney uni. Running in Cyclones team Yasi with Rachel, Mark and Tim. Rachel got off to a flyer and had a massive lead on leg 1, Mark held the lead and Tim went out in first.. so a very exciting start. Lachy had passed Tim, but it turned out that he'd skipped a few controls to do it, not that I knew that when I went out. I knew I had reasonable gaps to first and third so I focused on running cleanly and no doing anything stupid. I nearly threw that away on the long leg to 8 after dueling with a 4wd and turning early to avoid it, but corrected with a bit of a detour. Very cool to take the win for the cyclones!

Orienteering race 16:48 [5]

NOL sprint qual at Botany. A bit of an odd course - the sand dunes were tricky, but I wasn't too keen on the map, and the park bit was a bit odd. There were also some weird things going on with the map printing between the two women's courses - either you got to read the contours or vegetation, but not both.
I started ok, but had some issues with the small tracks and did a bit of a detour out towards the water on 3. Had some other issues on 11 - the centre of the circle was confusing, and the crossing point which showed the best option was obscured by the control number.
ended up first loser.

Running 30:00 [3]

Cruise down to Bondi with Mark from the qld team accommodation. Nice easy run down the hill, but a bit of a slog back up. The beach was completely blown out with big surf but there still seemed to be plenty of people about. I was amused to note the two lots of druggies thinking they're way too cool - the gym junkie steroid guys at the chin up bars at one end of the beach and the pot smoking skaters at the skate park at the other end.

more chiro. some big adjustments at the base of my neck - trying to straighten it out so there is less pressure at the top of my neck. all a bit hot and angry now, but feeling taller!

Feeling a bit tired and sore today. Luckily I have an OQ meeting to sit through tonight, so I won't have to worry about going running.

Note

the 2016 carnival gets every closer, but instead of just 2 steps forward, 2 steps back, we seem to also be running round in circles and throwing rocks. helpful... or not.
