Orienteering race 20:45 [5]

Cyclones sprint at USQ in Toowoomba. Really good course and a very tricky area. great as well to do a course that I hadn't put out any of the controls for. Did some relay practice by making sure I read the control descriptions off the map, which made it a bit harder to keep up with everything going on. hopefully that will help next weekend.
Was quite pleased with the run - only a couple of little wobbles and didn't die till the last running legs at the end.

there was no wine in the fridge so I went running while some chilled. just an easy plod through Anzac park.

threw out my shoes when I got back. after 2 1/2 years the soles have nearly worn through. now to wiggle!

Running intervals 20:00 [5]

Intervals at SMT with Mark and James, and a bunch of juniors - David, Aiden and Lauren, and Su Yan.
10 x 400m on 2min, with an extra 1 min rest after 5, and an extra 30secs after 9.

Times were much better, and more consistent than last time I tried this session before the sprint camp.
86 secs, 86, 88, 89, 88, 86, 88, 91, 90, 86.

There are new tenants in townhouses behind our unit block. It turns out that they are massive fans of Aussie hip-hop. the music wasn't super loud, but their bad singing was. It could be a long year.

Running race (street o) 25:46 [4] 4.9 km (5:16 / km)

short but steep street o course in Taringa north. Got in a good battle with Nicko for a while, but he seemed to hit the wall with about 2 controls to go.

run to street o and back. a bit faster than I would have liked on the way there as I was running late.
