Orienteering race 1:20:58 [5] 7.2 km (11:15 / km)

Easter long on Mt Alexander. Didn't start out in a very good frame of mind for this - knew I wasn't going to be up to the challenge of the distance or rough terrain and started very cautiously. got caught by Jas and Grace before the loops and running with them kicked me up a gear. couldn't hold on to either of them, but at least wasn't going quite so slowly after that. Avoided any major time losses navigationally, and figured that most people were walking up those hills anyway. In the end it wasn't as bad a day out as I'd thought it might be.
Ankle was good running to the right around slopes, but not happy the other way.

Orienteering race 38:09 [5] 4.6 km (8:18 / km)

Easter middle distance, Yorkshire hill. Super technical gold mining terrain. Really loved the area - super intense navigation and very runnable and lots of interesting details with all the ruins from the mining.
Had a good start, but got tired and lost a little concentration about 2/3 of the way through. had caught sight of Laurina (2 mins) but then made 2 mistakes in a row and dropped about 2 mins. running was good, but cautious. very unfit.

Event: Easter 2013

Orienteering race 19:07 [5] 2.7 km (7:05 / km)

Easter sprint at la Trobe uni Bendigo. Had a reasonable race. Bit of a wobble heading up into the green but pretty clean nav for the rest of the course. Running was ok, just really unfit. Ankle not too bad on flat but a bit sharp on the rough ground.

Orienteering 21:12 [5] 2.6 km (8:09 / km)

Decided that I needed to give my legs a little reminder about running, and I wanted to see how my ankle was going. Had a run around the women's course from the sprint champs on the weekend. Generally ran ok but was a bit slow around the controls to make sure I got the right level.

Ankle did ok, still stiff but not as sore as it had been and could run quite freely, main problem was lack of fitness.

Course was a bit long, mainly with the convoluted entries into controls. Running distance 3.97 km.

Running 10:00 [2]

Easy run to warm down
