Note
(injured) (rest day)

yesterday's optimism about having not done too much damage, and not needing too much time off has been replaced by depression about my ankle still being swollen and yuck, and not being able to run for a few days.

Note
(injured)

Visit to the physio to get the ankle checked out. Apparently I haven't done any serious damage, but i have a grade 2 sprain with some bone bruising. Lots more ice and rest, but I should be back running soon.

Orienteering 10:00 [4]

Made it halfway round the night o course at Anzac park before landing badly in a creek and busting my ankle. It was very painful and didn't stop hurting. Got carried/helped out to the nearest road by Jamie, who then ran and got the car to give me a lift back. Thanks Jamie!
Spent the rest of the evening with foot in a bucket of ice water, with Clare, Wendy and Lance waiting on me. Ankle looks pretty swollen now, hopefully not too nasty tmw morning!

Running intervals 25:00 [5]

Intervals at Anzac Park. 6x 500m + hill.
strange session - thought I'd be quite slow to begin with after feeling pretty tired all day, and maybe warm up as the session went on, but somehow did the first couple quite quickly and died completely at the end. interesting feeling that the limitation at the start was aerobic capacity, but by the end it was definitely sore calves and feet.

Running warm up/down 25:00 [2]

Running 53:00 [3] 10.5 km (5:03 / km)

Run home from work. Struggled a bit towards the end, not used to running so much on hard surfaces. Still a bit faster than I've done previously.

Circuit training 10:00 [5]

Sit ups and push ups.
