Orienteering race 20:00 [5]
World cup sprint relay. Running last leg for Australia 3. Pretty exciting watching the race unfold but warming up i knew my hammy wasn't great. We were a fair bit back by the time i went out so i took it easy. That still wasn't enough and my hammy was really bad by the end and it was all i could manage to keep some pretend run going. Lost a few mins at the end but didn't lose any places. Got about 30 secs out out the finish before being told i needed to be in a jury meeting.
Running warm up/down 15:00 [1]
Very slow warn up to try and convince my legs to go. Gave up on warm down after 50m of painful shuffle.
Note
Interesting day. I ended up on the jury for the men's middle race where a few people had been disqualified for running through olive green. Ii think that came down to being an EA that the SEA knew where to find. So the morning got chewed up with various discussions about the event but because the organisers hadn't (Or been able to) follow the procedures about the complaint we didn't really have anything to make a decision on. Eventually stuff happened in the background and the iof decided that the jury should make the ruling. Second round meeting was after the relay and by then there were 3 protests, but we were able to come to a decision without too much drama. Hopefully the jury report will be available soon.
As is often the case the jury isn't going to please everyone and has to come up with the least bad option.
As is always the case the bullshit commentary has been flying thick and fast. Particularly from those who aren't even here.
