Running long 2:20:00 [2]

only worked half saturday so went for an afternoon run at katherine gorge - into butterfly gorge. super hot to start with so it was a bit jog-walk, and the track was pretty rough. ended up at one of the big bends on gorge 2. beautiful spot. the late afternoon light on the way out was pretty spectacular.

Run into the city along coro bike path. Ankle was still complaining from yesterday and i didn't feel like running with lights. It was a bit late, so not many people but there were a few who looked like walking any distance was a new concept... Pokémoners

quick lap of anzac park before OQ skype meeting... meeting was total fail. should have run for longer.
outside of both ankles gone weird and crusty. tendonitis type thing, but really sensitive to any over extension sideways, so that even a little correction feels like I've gone hard over on my ankle.
also pretty warm out tonight.

another round of test running at the gold coast. a bit of drizzle made the whole area very slippery.

Orienteering race 1:03:00 [4] 8.1 km (7:47 / km)

Club event at wilmots waterholes. fun area - just cruising around... until I tripped and fell into a log pile that I was winding up to jump up over. smashed my knee into a log which hurt much more than was reasonable. had a few minutes waiting for the pain to subside, and then got going again. a bit slower after that.

Note

seems like my cold might be gone - don't feel quite so awful running harder now. lets see about some training again.

checking out the middle area on cascades. heaps of rain recently and the rock slabs were flowing with water. forest is much more runnable than I was expecting which is great. beautiful afternoon to be out running.

long run from T&Rs with L,W, C. nice plod. really struggled up the hill - body just not ready to let me run fast. running back down the hill was much easier. a bit longer than I'd planned... particularly given the plans for later in the day.

Orienteering 35:00 [3]

test running sprint courses at PBC and Griffith. PBC will be a fun little area. Happy with how my courses are coming together at Griffith.
