had planned on doing my usual intervals, but then Mat had something different planned. did a couple of laps of the park as a warm up, then waited for people to turn up, then waited some more. then decided that I didn't want to do Mat's session, but put a couple of the tapes out for it. eventually decided that I'd stuffed around for long enough and went home. will try again another day.

Long run from Clare's. Started trying to keep up with the fast group but got dropped and ran by myself for a while, until Lance got dropped as well and we struggled home. Pool was awesome. Breakfast was great

right ankle is still a bit sore after the stretch I gave it on saturday. will just have to be careful with it for a while.

Orienteering race 45:11 [4] 7.75 km (5:50 / km)

Club relays.2 courses, time and distance are for both.very slow after yesterday, and struggled with the heat.made plenty of silly mistakes in the buildings.
Great event and a great area used by En. UG won the relays by about 1000 points thanks to having 17 teams.

Long run from Wendy's. Mostly ran with Wendy and Su Yan. The usual run with an extra bit up Simpson's falls. Stuffed at the end. Rolled both ankles (not badly) on the way down the hill as I was having some issues coordinating limbs.

Run from Wendy's, with Clare and Wendy. Easy in parts, but did some extra hills and surges so it ended up a bit Fartleky. starting to feel like I'm doing some proper training again instead of just running enough to not get fat.

woke up with a bit of a headache, but it turned really nasty on the ride in - every little bump felt like my skull was being smashed in. fortunately it went back to being just a dull headache once I got off the bike.
I suspect yesterday's run in the heat, and some caffine withdrawals are to blame. I'm sure I'll be able to eat and drink my way to recovery.

Had a big sleep in, but then had a guilt trip about not training when I had nothing else .was going out later so ended up running in the middle of the day, which was hot and unpleasant but at least got some training done. Will plan better next time.

Long run from Tamsin and Richie's. Big group today, and plenty of people in the slower group with me. Ran up though the cemetery, up toilet block, though gold mine and around the ring road to the lookout. View from the top was great, very clear. Could see all the way to the islands and the main range.
Ran down frosty's and through Anzac park.

ride to work. cold and windy. nearly ended up in the river, struggled to pedal through the roma st tunnel, then only just made the turn into the driveway at work cos I got pushed along by a tailwind gust. definitely more exciting than the usual morning commute.

Run from Clare's, with Clare and Su Yan, and Rachel, Mark and David at the start. Struggled early on, as expected after a week of feeling awful. Legs started to feel ok about half way and Su Yan was helping to push me on the hills. Looking forward to getting my legs back over the next few weeks.
