sick is still hanging around. probably could train, but I really want to be better for our week in the blueys after xmas so I can do heaps of training, so don't want to risk getting sicker again now. still needing 12 hours sleep a night is probably a good indication that I'm not all good.

went out for a plod down to long pocket. felt like a fat heffalump, but ended up running a pretty good time for that run. not sure that no training and excessive eating is a good long term fitness plan though.
hopefully i'm actually un-sick now. guess I'll find out in the morning.

almost a relief that i'm actually sick now - its been lurking for about 3 weeks and I haven't been able to train properly, so hopefully a few days off and I'll be fine.
Cruised in to southbank to watch the national crit champs. perfect location - 1k road loop with about 50 cafes on the block inside!
being the aus champs all the stars were there, with baden cooke taking out the win in the mens race. we got an awesome spot on carnage corner where we could see each riders face change from poo-face effort to holy-shit-i'm-going-to-die. occasional showers kept the roads wet and the crashes frequent. good entertainment!
