free club event at banks st reserve. went along to have a little run, but also to make sure I got out of the house today. ok run, not too many wobbles but 6 secs slower than mat :-(

long run from my place. it's been a few weeks and I really struggled. not having breakfast before the run was a mistake. ran with Clare for most and James and Mark at the start. coffee and a giant chocolate freckle at the bean after.
quite tired now, looking forward to a nap.

Run from my place to Marks to retrieve my car following a complicated car shuffle to get the commodore back from Boonah.
Took the trails option through anzac park and the bottom of mt coottha.

Orienteering race 1:08:35 [4] 6.7 km (10:14 / km)

OY at Cotswold. Great course set by Jamie. Got around ok, but had a few small wobbles in control circles due to lack of confidence in the mapping (cotswold is one of the oldest maps in qld and has been mapped by many people over the years. still areas that are skewed and undermapped).

struggled physically - couldn't keep my legs going up the hills and rough areas. ankle is slowly improving, but still not good.

warm up. warm down was the walk back from the finish.

street o in Taringa. a bit slow and took a couple of stacks on slippery ground after the rain but got around ok. New tactic of highlighting the route worked well, pity it's another step towards hubbardism.
I should be getting faster at these but I seem to be further behind the winners each week. hopefully it just means they're getting fitter.

run in Anzac park with James. struggled on the hills but James made me run a bit faster than I would have on my own.

Note

$200 to fix a split hose and fill up about 6 litres of transmission fluid. the Commodore lives again!

Note

was planning a big run at wyaralong today but the car shat itself on the way there from the block. smoke, flames etc. May be the end of the Commodore. we got it towed to boonah and will find out the damage this week.

intervals on the ring road in toowong cemetery with Mark and James. 1500m with 50m climb x 4.
First one was a bit short. recoveries were a jog down the direct route to the front gate.
6.47, 7.15, 7.16, 7.17

run to and from the cemetery and recoveries.

wore my 5-fingers for the first time in a while. feet are a bit sore! maybe need to do warm up and warm down in normal shoes next time.

made it to the early class. more stretching and less strength than the other class.

Running long 2:10:00 [3] 17.0 km (7:39 / km)

long run at O'Reilly's with katelyn. ran the toolona circuit which had heaps of waterfalls and was really pretty. the track was slow going along the creek but much quicker for the run home along the border track. time includes looking at views and taking photos.
