Very very very wet day, felt like i was in the forests in Europe.
Best day out so far, only had one bad route choice to #11. But was perfect navigation otherwise. Managed to get to 4:00min/km on the road which was most of my route in any cases.

Instead of doing the Day 2 long forest event in the pouring rain. i decided to take the day off and recover for a cold that i had gathered the day before.

Well Day 1, lets just say the start wasnt so great.

Stuffed up control #1 did a 90 degree error. Finally got the control and hit #2 right on the head. All was going smoothly until i hit control #5... 24 minutes later, 10 relocation attempts, i finally got the control. Which i had been near too all 10 times i relocated. Just was hitting it short every time.

After this happening i was half dehydrated and new i had to push my heart out in order to do well. Gladly i hit all the control almost perfectly which was a great feeling.

For some reason my heart rate monitor didnt work.

Did a very easy training session to get into the new maps for Big5-O.
Andries and myself took a few younger orienteers (Luan, Tristan and Megan) out and showed them the purpose of the training event and how to look for the particular features.
