JK Long race at Kilnsey. Nominally 9.4km. I really enjoyed the open running over this limestone hill once I got past some sloppy attention to map detail for #1, so lost 3 minutes there. Other than that pretty good apart from losing 5 minutes at 13 and 2 minutes at 15 due to having problems seeing through my glasses due to the rain & hail (but it was nowhere near as nasty as the later showers). Overall I really enjoyed it. 28th/82 and 22 mins behind Tim Tett, winner again.

JK Wass Forest. Nominally 6.4km. Pretty manky area with lot's of brambles. Started off badly, pulling up short when looking for #1 - partly because I saw others ahead of me back-tracking towards me. Silly because I had they had seen my control but it wasn't theirs! Then got caught out on #5, I cut across the hillside, and again was looking for it too soon, when I could have stayed on a track to a good attack point. Elementary. 7-8 I was a bit unlucky getting stuck in waist high brambles that I couldn't get through, and had to go around another way. That was enough! 46th/87 and 30 mins behind Tim Tett, the winner.

JK Sprint M55 at Leeds Uni. Nominal length 2.2km, optimum length quoted as 3.2km. Fairly clean run and although I was a bit indecisive about route choice in a few places I was pushing on quite well. Got most of the multi-level options right apart from on the way to 6 when I went up steps and should have gone around and under them which resulted in extra distance. 20th/112 and 3 mins 31secs down on the winner.
