Oh dear, not my cup of tea. Only got #1 on the 4th close pass through the circle, just couldn't see it. After that I got a bit fed up with all the open felled areas and windblow. Didn't feel comfortable running as much as, or as fast as, I want to and I ended up walking too much of the latter part of the course.

As I went round, I couldn't help thinking how much I'm looking forward to the Tom's Cairn race in 2 weeks, especially after having reccied it on Friday - a nice opportunity to stretch the legs out and run hard on reliable footing. But I digress.....

Accidentally left my Garmin set to autopause, which means I don't have accurate distance or climb data either. On the plus side, I saved my HR monitor that I discovered only clipped on by 1 stud, half way round, and the rain held off. Not the best of days for me, but I know someone who really enjoyed herself!

Toms Cairn 10k scouting. What a nice route and a very steady climb most of the way. Missed a turn on the way up (corrected), and another on the way down ( which I didn't backtrack on) . So a little longer than it will be on race day. Cadence 170.

Scolty long run. Down to Blackhall, then up the forest tracks onto Goach, following bike trails for the last bit. Then down to the saddle and back down the main track. A good route to get the most continuous climb.

Cheyne Hill Race. Fun ! Started steadily, overtook KH and AR on the hill. Was able to steadily move through the field making up half a dozen places. The route was a little confusing in a couple of places as I think tapes had been moved. Almost caught the guy in front of me on the line, but was just ahead of him earlier, but hesitated about the route, so I think I should have got him really.

It's a Sunday, so of course got chased by dogs at one point. Didn't re-start my garmin properly so missed a bit. Annoying! "They just want to play with you"....*!*?*!*?*
