Planned to go for a long adventure run with Lauren but body just feeling a bit off so thought it better to rest. Slightly achey, fighting off the sinus/throat thing.
Decided last night not to go the the Flinders Weekend after all, because feeling just too much to do before we go overseas, especially finishing up work before signing off for 3 months. Very bummed to miss it but it just felt too rushed going up for 3 days on top of everything else.
Note
Still feeling low grade sinussy, Jasper a bit sick too.

Ran to uni loop and run 4x1km with 200 v slow recovery. 4:10, 4:08, 4:05, 4:09 Late afternoon by the time I ran and felt a bit low energy for pushing flat out intervals, but speed was better than expected. Ran home strongly.
Have slight lingering sore throat/sinusy on and off since a while, felt a bit worse today.

Hard up Wild Dog Glen again, then ran tempo around the Sheoak loop (15:07, good tough loop, chasing Strava segment which I got by 2 secs!), and back down the same way.

Waite loop - not as long as I had planned but waited for the crazy storm to pass which meant it was getting dark. Pushed hard up Wild Dog Glen and a few other bits, and finished with 5x40sec hill sprints. The wrist sensor on my new HR watch was telling me I was ‘easy’ effort at the top of Wild Dog. Probably not that reliable, or maybe hr actually was low because I hadn’t warmed up yet? Had a bush detour when I saw the silhouettes of 3 male deer with antlers standing on the track! (Someone was attacked by a deer here a few months ago so I was being cautious!)
