Note
(sick)

Was planning on doing a long ride but got a really sore throat overnight, yucky feeling head and generally not feeling great during the day. Went for a long evening walk instead.

Bendigo event at Korong Spur. Such an awesome map and beautiful area to run in. I loved it and had heaps of fun!
I can't help pushing and feeling competitive in orienteering regardless of how unfit I am, so I made my lungs burn a fair bit but it was good to feel the flow :) My navigation and focus was good and I spiked most controls. However was too high entering 11 and looked in the wrong bunch of rocks (distracted by a little head to head racing victory on the previous control, but recovered fast) , and #12 wasn't on the big rock I expected and a few other hesitations here and there.
GPS died half way oops.

half my route..

Running 5:00 [2]

tiny warm up - ankles felt really stiff and unco and really needed warming up!
3 PM

orienteering 55:00 intensity: (20:00 @2) + (25:00 @3) + (10:00 @4)

Training course on Kooyoora - another legendary map I haven't been to for ages! Started up at Melville caves and went to the bit north and east of there.
Took it pretty easy and tried to keep contact and read all the features (because there were not controls it was really necessary not to lose contact!). Mostly good but got confused looking for 7, and then going to 8 realised that I had made a 100m parallel error on 7. Left ITB and achilles getting a bit sore by the end.
So many good memories from Kooyoora - kind of wished we were camping out there for the whole weekend.

stretch/yoga 20:00 [0]

evening stretch and roll, much needed

A pretty uninspired morning jog round the mansions of Toorak. Nice autumn colours but wasn't really feeling it and was in a bit short on time anyway.

run round the parks..

Strength 20:00 [1]

Tobias seemed to think that I was just providing some comedic entertainment through my push-up and chin-up attempts...

running drills/plyo 10:00 intensity: (4:00 @3) + (6:00 @4)

drills in the park - things to make my running style better and stronger if I am going to start running more again.
