Short morning run in snow before the first day of skiing in Savognin. First half uphill then cruised. Looking forward to some longer runs later in the week.

First day of skiing- bought a 3day lift pass with th plan to do XC skiing and long runs later in the week. Had a 2hour lesson at the start of the day which really helped and was skiing red runs by the end of the day :) Often had to stop to let legs recover from all the turning.

Another full day of skiing, as soon as I started I was better than yesterday (practicing in my dreams!) bu still need to be more relaxed.
Short morning ski at Brunni on the easiest piste. Only fell 4 times and felt much more natural at turning etc but it really wasn't steep...
L ankle stiff and sore overnight. Iceing etc.
L ankle a little sore. Iced in evening.
Sunny Christmas walk in the snow from Sattlegg. Best bit is running downhills in deep snow and losing controll!

Christmas Longjog with 6 from OLG. Stunning sunny day up in the hills with a warm wind - up to 15degrees I think and warm enough to run in a tshirt and no gloves or hat. A white AND warm christmas :)
Ran all together for the first 45mins, then a bit later Barbara and I split from the other two guys going further. The amount of snow was really varied- sometimes no snow, sometimes slippery and sometimes soft. Only one spot was so deep we had to walk about 10mins.
I rolled my left ankle after 30mins but I really wanted to keep going, so I ran a little more carefully after that and it was ok. perhaps the snow helped keep it cool!
Got a bit tired towards the end and felt a bit unfit on the hills- i need more snow running, it really challenges strength and balance! Left ITB/Knee was totally ok untill except everytime we ran on a flat surface and towards the end it was stiff/painful. running in terrain and snow is much better!
Much appreciated a rivella at the and and lunch at Thomas's place, a great start to christmas!
