Running (Long) 2:02:00 intensity: (20:00 @2) + (1:17:00 @3) + (25:00 @4)
slept:8.0 shoes: Nike Lunar Glide #2 white

Legs were feeling a bit tired and sore so was planning an easy BUT couldn't turn down the invitation to go for a run in the mountains with Thomas and Patrick.
In the beautiful Wagital see area.
First 25mins on flat road along the lake, then 30mins pretty steep up (500m climb in about 2k?), then nice and undulating once up the top, though quite muddy! Then down some lovely fast steep meadows, though my legs were loosing the plot by then..
Very much enjoyed the run though my legs struggled with the hills and so did the will power at the beginning of the climbing.
Super hot, very glad for mountain springs, a swim in the lake at the end, and the company to keep me going :)

4.8K course w 300 climb at Buch am Irchel with NLZ training squad. Focus on changing speed/technique to suit demands of the course. Varied terrain with a flat vague plateu on top surrounded by sometimes vey steep slopes with some flatter areas of rock and contour detail. Good run, pushed hard and nailed most of the little control flags, just two where i wasnt careful enough coming in to control after running hard.
Learnt that the fastest way up the very steep slopes is to tough it out and go straight up, no zig zagging. Also coming down hill takes alot of leg strength to stay in control- i went fot the slide technique and lost control into a fallen tree, then the tree and i continued sliding.. a bit scary!
