Long easy run round Yarra with Ilks, all single track, some hills. Legs felt pretty happy but tired in the last 20mins esp. when I chucked in a steep hill at the end. Feeling good about running at the moment, and looking forward togetting into more long.
Bumped into JP for 10mins of the run, then came across a big tiger snake as I was leading us down a narrow bush track, lying over the path with its head up looking at me - luckily I spotted it 10m away and we turned back as he didn't look like moving. Never seen a tiger snake before, impressive stripes! shudder..

Note

tired after run so had an afternoon power nap. think i got a bit dehydrated because i lot my appetite and felt queasy all arvo and had to work hard to make the most of all the great food at the MFR bbq with sore stomach.

A few hours surfing and swimming/body surfing at Torquay/Jan Juc... not really swimming, mostly fighting to get out to the waves and fighting on foot against strong sideways current. Really fun- want to do more surfing this summer, it was exhausting so Im counting it as training ;) Stood up on a few good waves but mosly once they were already coming to an end, needed to get out further to where the waves were bigger but it was such a battle (need to be a stronger swimmer and the long board made swimming out harder)

just did a few exercises for muscles not sore from yesterday, cancelled out lots!
got so stretch more and roll the itb.... and sleep more!! conked out when i got home to wake an hour later feeling terrible (hence running so late because it took a while to feel awake)

Running hills 10:00 [5]

8x Royal Pk hills, the one running along trainline and facing the sunset. Legs felt fatiged from strenght yesterday so started bit conservatively though it still felt hard.
65,64,64,63,65,61,62,57 with 90+sec jog back
This can be my "1 minute hill" if i get a bit faster.

then did 4x 25sec grassy hill on 1min cycle focussing on fast legs and good form

Felt good! Legs pretty happy though a little tired. No niggles :)

Very varied strenght and stuff in the park with Jas- some core, yoga and plyometrics... actually more gossiping than anything ;)
Was gonna go for a ride but felt too tired after crashing into a power nap as soon as i got home.

Felt ok, legs a bit heavy probably from lack of stretching, and generally tired probably from lack of sleep.
