Totally lost the tiny bit of training momentum I had this week.. So tired today - drove to work which I've almost never done, needed two power naps at my desk and then fell asleep at 7:30 when I put the boys to bed, still in my work clothes.

Walked around with the pram checking control sites at Roseworthy for next weekend's sprint event. Got back and realised we had lost a hat so ran back tracing our steps and luckily found it pretty quickly.

Ran from Little Hill to Maylands with a little loop in Morialta on the way and a few adventures trying to follow 3rd creek - it would be so awesome if our creeks could be continuous corridors for wildlife and people to follow from the hills to the Torrens River, rather than being channeled through concrete channels.

Didn’t feel as far as I expected, felt ok but my right ITB stiffened up along my right knee in the last 10mins.

Fartlek run from home to the river and back. 2x90s, 4x602, 4x30s, 4x15s. The short bursts at the end really got me!
My goal for the month is to do 3 runs per week and make them count (either hilly or some sort of intensity).

Ran from Horsnell Gully to Uraidla, beautiful winters morning and the bush was lovely full of flowering heath.
Mostly up hill but felt good - my hip flexors are the first thing to get tired on a long run so I’ll have to figure out the antidote to that..

Anstey Hill orienteering. This was pretty brutal - quite a lot of climb and often pretty rough terrain. I enjoyed it though and think this is an area which is underappreciated. It could easily be used for a NOL middle distance or something (better suited to elites because it's quite tough..).
The various mining details etc were good on the new map and there was quite a bit of macro and micro route choice.
I made at least three 1-2 minute mistakes and felt really unfit on the hills, like my legs just did not work.. Very slow km rate for a 5.4 k course!

Was going to stick with cold turkey weaning the boys since my trip away, but just so much easier to give them a feed if they wake at night, so I decided at 4am that we’re still breastfeeding...
