Running long 1:28:00 [3]

ran over to morialta (15 mins pretty hard) for the first daylight saving run. did the usual clockwise loop, but not all the way to 3rd falls.(45 mins)
ran the whole of the deep view hillhard and felt strongish. felt a bit flat after thet esp on the slight hills, but still pushed fairley hard.
easy back home, with a few detours.
calves a bit tight- not used to the hills?

Sunday Oct 29, 2006 #

Running 1:00:00 [3]

ran from magill into horsnell gully with susanne and lachlan.
shouldnt really have bothered... was feeling pretty seedy after the night before. started ok, then felt like throwing up on the hill, and bit better at the end.
shouldve been a long run and felt sort of bad for making them run so easy.

Saturday Oct 28, 2006 #

riding 2:15:00 [2]

long ride with kay, down to pt adelaide, then back on grand junction rd.

Running 34:00 [4]
rhr:51

10 min warm up, then 20 mins hard- through wadmore pk to the wildflower garden and around.
really had trouble going hard. Felt like i could push harder but just couldnt make my legs any faster- really heavy.
calves felt tight going back down.

Wednesday Oct 25, 2006 #

Running 1:12:00 [4]

pretty hard run with 3 of the athelstone runners.
did a practice of part of the black hill challence course. i was strongest up the hill, but they kept me pushing all the way back on the flat.

Sunday Oct 22, 2006 #

Running 1:37:00 [3]
rhr:49

solid long run in the hills.
felt pretty good running despite a bit of a cold.
no shin pain but right knee a little sore.
ran from the church up institute rd, moores rd, dam, marble gully, montacute rd.
snake count = 2, the second one was a HUGE brown one and about 5 cm from my foot. after a galloped off down the road i even had to check for bite marks it was so close..
never run the last 10 mins of a 90 min run so hard.

Saturday Oct 21, 2006 #

3:40:00 [2]
rhr:51

mammoth long ride with kay.
kept up a pretty steady pace- not really hard but loong.
met at the glynde, then to the beaches(brighton to westlakes) and back up port rd.

Tuesday Oct 17, 2006 #

Running 42:00 [3]
rhr:48

ran the loop up the fire track hill to the dam and back down marble quarry.
didnt need to stop on the hill (but had to keep turning around to shout encouragement to the dog)
really pushed the first 20 mins, but after that i had to slow down cos my dog has got fat and lazy while i was away.

Strength 20:00 [1]

core stability

Monday Oct 16, 2006 #

1:28:00 [2]

did a loop round the block. up montacute rd to norton summit then down ntn summit rd and a bit extra in the suburbs.
really nice riding once i made it to the top.
forgotten how dodgy the blue bike is up hills because none of the gears are fast enough. lots of odd noises too, so i think i should get my dad to fix up one of his 'nice' bikes.

Sunday Oct 15, 2006 #

Note
(rest day)

was about to go for a ride when work called and said they urgently needed someone...who told them i was back??
really should learn to say no!

Saturday Oct 14, 2006 #

Running 1:01:00 [3]

had a practice run of the hill in the black hill challenge. from home to ghost gully, then from the top of ambers, went along the ridge to black hill and down the quarry.
only stopped once on the hill (which is bigger than i remamberd) and generally felt really good.
shins a tiny bit sore at start but not at all to touch after .
borrowed my sisters new shoes and they felt so much nicer than mine!
