Really badly gashed down the back of my right heel on a sharp piece of wood last night when moving our new chicken coop. Painful to walk/put weight on it.

Ankle was feeling stiffer this morning so opted out of the Bridgewater run but still wanted to get out. Rode up to Norton Summit and back. Lovely overcast morning and I even found some amazing roadside apples!
Apparently having two glasses of wine the night before was enough to give me a headache and hangover feeling all day..

Evening run in Horsnell gully. Sometimes feel guilty about going off on my own but I should do this more, and next time a longer run. Glorious and refreshing being in the bush.
Had a hefty stack right at the end and did my right ankle though..

Glenelg sprint. No stupid mistakes this time, happy with nav and tried to run hard. Another new area for me - quite fun and so nice to jump in the waves after!

Early morning pram jog because the boys woke ridiculously early and wouldn't go back to sleep but weren't really awake enough to start the day.. So nice running on totally dead streets rather than on the footpath!

Running long 1:35:00 [3] 13.0 km (7:18 / km) +450m 6:14 / km

Arrows long run from Bridgewater to Mylor via some lovely tracks in Engelbrook Reserve and and bit in Mylor conservation park. I felt pretty steady running, and just loved it. I never have any idea where we are on these runs so was pretty relieved when we popped out back at the oval just as I was starting to feel the heat!
Longest run in aaages and decided I need and deserve new shoes :) I last bought new running shoes more than 4 yrs ago!

Adelaide Uni Sprint. Great map and great course, happy for it to be a longish one. Constantly needing to make choices and read the map.
One silly mistake when I ran from #2 towards #18, following the wrong line because I was distracted by looking further ahead in the course, losing at least half a min.
Great to have so many girls similar speeds - 6 within a minute.
The boys also loved finding the controls in the park at the end and doing the beeeps!

Sprint at Port Adelaide. Fun new (for me) area with nothing overly tricky but good for challenging fast decision making and RC. Pairs start with Bridget but after the pivot control I ran almost all the way to 13 instead of 3, dropping maybe a minute. Just being very silly and getting carried away with fun head to head racing and not paying close enough attention to the map. Happy with my nav after that. Enjoyed trying to push hard and seeing lots of others out there.

Botanic gardens sprint. Fun, felt very slow towards the end.

Short warm up to de-stiffen my legs..
Ran home afterwards (17 mins). Seemed so short by foot and just a few minutes slower than Tobi and the boys who took the bus!
