Running race (Intercollege aths) 7:20 [4] 1.9 km (3:52 / km)

1500m B final, ran 6.06. A bit windy. I was wrecked.
4x400m final, we came 2nd. I don't think I died in this as much as I did on Friday :-)

Running warm up/down 10:00 [2]

My calves are feeling ridiculously tight. The rest of my legs are stiff, but they are exceptional. My shins were a bit sore today after the 1500 too.

Riding warm up/down 20:00 [2] 6.0 km (3:20 / km)

Went for a cruise after aths to try and de-stiffen. Won't work though :-( but worth a try anyway.

Riding 30:00 [2] 8.7 km (3:27 / km)

Went for a really, really easy ride to try and get rid of some of the stiffness from last night. Didn't really work :-(

Tennis 1:00:00 [2]

Hadn't played for about 3 years and had forgotten how much fun it was to hit something with something else. I was playing doubles with some girls from college. My shins were a bit sore last night, and this didn't really help them, but at least it was fun :-) My calves are so tight after the running too.

Running race (Intercollege aths) 10:30 [4] 2.7 km (3:53 / km)

Heats of intercollege aths:
Ran 800 in 2.51, came 6th. Felt ok but couldn't stick with the front group.
Ran 1500 in 6.02, same story...came 6th, ditto felt ok but couldn't stick with girls at front.
Ran 3rd in 4x400 relay and didn't drop the baton...hooray! Hit the wall after about 200 and legs felt like jelly after.
Was fun to do some aths for for something different, could never do it all the time though. I wasn't as slow as I was expecting which was nice :-)

Running warm up/down 15:00 [2]

Riding 1:11:50 [3] 23.31 km (3:05 / km)

Rode up the Merri Crk to Bell St. Did a lap at Brunswick velodrome on the way to amuse myself :-) Seemed to be a headwind going both ways...
Didn't push it too much, just tried to keep going with a relatively high cadence.

Running warm up/down 12:00 [3]

Went around the Cresent half way and back through b/w Hilda's and Ormond. 6 mins each way. My hip was playing funny buggers yesterday and in the warm up, hurting every so ofter when I took a step...was fine in intervals though. Don't know what caused it :-(

Running intervals 13:25 [4] 3.0 km (4:28 / km)

Did intervals at MU aths track with Dave. Same as last week, except I can't count to 2 and so mucked up the start:

300 float, 200 hard, then 200 float, 300 hard x2.
Back to normal for the second part.

Was feeling really good in the floats at the start, but really dead by the end, had to take the last float pretty easy. Legs were ok, just felt tight across the bottom of shin...don't know what this is

Riding intervals 36:00 [4] 12.16 km (2:58 / km)

Didn't really have time for anything long today, so did a bit of an interval session on the bike. Felt pretty good, the best I have at training for a while :)
Had a 5 min warm up
Then just rode 1 min on, 1 min off for about 20 mins. It was a bit frustrating slowing down for traffic, people etc. all the time, but more fun than being hit by a car! Only started hurting at about 22 mins (total time)
About 10 mins warm down

Orienteering race (Golden Sandshoe) 57:17 [3] 5.9 km (9:43 / km)

Wow, I've decided I really can't navigate. I got lost on tracks today :(

Started off ok and felt like I was running alright, made it to the 3rd control and felt a bit sick, so walked the next leg, and never really got back into it after that.
Missed one control I had planned to get when I got lost on tracks, and missed another one on the pit that is always a control site and I can never find without a lot of luck.
