orienteering - Quality 48:57 [4] 9.36 km (5:14 / km) +140m 4:52 / km

Relay training with a good group. Forking, but no flags out. ~1 min back on Lukas and Noel.

For the most part behind Lukas and Noel. Taking my own micro route choices and occasionally a different route choice. Lukas got a little gap on us around Control 10 or so. I ended up loosing Noel to 19. I had the long forking and I lost maybe 10s when I was unsure if I was at the vague control feature. Last few legs were quite easy technically so I tried to give it a hard push at the end.

Edit: Actually my forking wasn't much longer, I just lost more like 45s at 19. Control was on rocky ground in a long shallow re-entrant, in turn on a vague hill side. Unsure if I was at the control, I ended up following re-entrant further up the hillside.

running warm up/down 21:35 [2] 4.6 km (4:42 / km)

Warm up plus cool down. Transportation to/from the start seems like a more accurate description since I didn't do much of a warm-up.

Also, I didn't wake up much before this. Ate a donut and ran out the door

running 16:50 [5] 5.0 km (3:22 / km)

Vaxjo parkrun. Technically, my fastest time but I started 90s late. My watch says I ran 5.06km which gave me a 3:20 min/km pace.

I had originally planned on running a 5000m this weekend, but I couldn't find anyone to run with and I don't think I can run sub 16 on my own. I'll save that for another time. I still needed a second time trial for the WOC application so I ran this.

Not my greatest performance. I paced myself terribly (running 3:05-10 pace) for the first km on top of the of the bad warm-up and just waking up, which admittedly I did to myself. Felt terrible after 2.5km and I just didn't have the mental strength to push through today.

For future races, I think I should try to do a morning work out once in a while. For the most part I always train in the afternoon or evening, and when I do run in the morning my legs always feel like trash. I don't care about running well at the Vaxjo park run, but say at SM Sprint where the first start of the qualifier will be at 8:40

running hills 43:22 [4] 7.94 km (5:28 / km) +450m 4:15 / km

4x 5 hills at Högstorp w/ 1 min rest

The usual hill. More of a continuous hard effort. Taking the uphill hard but also making sure I’m moving quickly downhill on the bumpy/rocky trail.
