British relays - Women's short
Changed from women's premier to short as I didn't think my knee would cope after the day before I could definetly feel it.
I didn't know how well my team was doing beforehand so I had no pressure which was good. First couple of controls we're fine I only tripped over a log on the way to #3 and ended up knocking an old lady over but she forgave me as I led her into the control. Lost about 3/4 minutes to #8 which was in a depression surrounded by loads of unmarked ditches. Rest of the course was fine once out in the open walked most of the hills ad my knee wasn't feeling it but everyone else was so it didn't really affect my overall position.
Came back in and my team was 2nd was completely shocked as I saw no one out there

Orienteering 1:18:35 [3] 9.36 km (8:24 / km) +228m 7:29 / km

At the start I tried to jog slowly to warm up but there was a stabbing pain in my knee so was already thinking that it wasn't going to go well. I wasn't expecting much before starting anyway so setting off I started running and tried to think about where I was going rather then my knee. First 2 controls were fine then the first longish leg through the open sludge I mucked up looking at it now I should have went round the bottom instead of over the rough terrain lost lots of time here as I stopped thinking about where I was going and was more focused on not going over my ankle as I was running very strangely due to my knee I ended up way to high. For the next couple of controls it went much better then I mucked up number 7 in a pit glad I wasn't the only one as train of M18s were also looking for the control looking back I was way too far to the north of the control. Controls 9 - 13 my knee wasn't feeling like running so walked Parts of it by 14 I just wanted to finish so tried to run as much as I could. Originally I was going to skip the last loop out and finish at the spectator however it was such a short loop I decided against it and carried on through the spectator. For the last couple of controls I just wanted to get it over with. My navigation was fine with these controls however my knee just wanted to give up. Heading to the last control I didn't realise that it was on the other side of the wall stupid mistake at this point Fiona caught me up only by 24 minutes.
Looking back it wasn't a good idea to do the whole course since I got home I've been icing and rolling trying to get rid of the pain ohwell just the relays to do.

Knee still not feeling great at all still debating whether to run on the weekend or to potentially face a long time for my knee to recover if I do run.
Also my right wrist has now become really swollen and is very painful to move for no reason. This is definitely not my lucky year.
