Orienteering race 1:01:15 [5] 5.03 mi (12:11 / mi) +181m 10:58 / mi

COC Winter O-Series #7.

First blow up mistake in quite awhile.....lost 8-9 minutes on the first control. D'oh!

I was mad, and ran harder the rest of the way as a result. I had very few issues the rest of the race and felt good running hard. Darn that first control.

Track Intervals night with Patrick!

Warmup

Running 19:06 intensity: (8:33 @1) + (10:33 @5) 1.62 mi (11:47 / mi) +1m 11:46 / mi

Return of the Q-Bitz Intervals!! Huzzah! :)

"Recovery" between each interval = Solving 2x Q-Bitz puzzles

400 - 1:38
Q-Bitz - 2:25
800 - 3:40
Q-Bitz - 2:06
800 - 3:37
Q-Bitz - 2:02
400 - 1:38
Q-Bitz - 2:01

Running 14:18 intensity: (7:24 @1) + (6:54 @5) 1.09 mi (13:05 / mi) +1m 13:03 / mi

Round 2:

400 - 1:38
Q-Bitz - 2:27 (struggles begin....)
800 - 3:34
Q-Bitz - 2:58 (struggle city.....mental focus and motor skills, where are you?)
400 - 1:42
Q-Bitz - 1:59 (I swear this one was easier because I knew I got to rest/recover afterward)

I was excited I maintained my interval paces for the most part. Granted, if I'd done a 2nd 800 on this set I'm not sure if I would have managed quite so well.

Running 5:05 [2] 0.52 mi (9:43 / mi) +1m 9:40 / mi
