Running intervals 1:00:00 intensity: (50:00 @2) + (10:00 @5)
shoes: Nike Structure Triax 11

Ran from the Bakers' to the club hut and then down to the Lexus dealership where we were doing the session. Ran 2 loops at full pace 2'06 and 2'04 with 3 min recovery between. Then jogged back to the Bakers for a great veggie curry and plenty of chat about the elopement.

Bouldering (the works) 1:30:00 [0]

Stormed through the green spot on the competition wall and all the purple spots that I didn't quite manage with Oli last week, kept on climbing some easy green routes after i was too pumped to hang on to any difficult holds.

Orienteering (Sutton park) 20:00 [1] **** 2.0 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: inov8 x-talon 215

Some compass training with Kelly at the CSC Final. Kelly has now learnt how to take a bearing, hopefully she will remember next time she goes orienteering!

Running race (National Road relays) 21:27 [5] 5.87 km (3:39 / km) +65m 3:28 / km
shoes: Nike Structure Triax 11

At Sutton Park, running 5th leg out of 6 for the Hallamshire second team. Was slowest on the day for the team by a minute - ouch! Good start but then lost it after about 15 minutes and crawled back for the last mile. Slight left ITB issue, more stretching needed this week.

Running warm up/down (Sutton Park) 40:00 intensity: (10:00 @1) + (10:00 @2) + (20:00 @3) 7.0 km (5:43 / km)
shoes: Nike Structure Triax 11

Did a lap of the women's course to see what the loop was like and then a bit more jogging, some drills and run throughs before the start. Staggered around a short loop with Oli after the race.

Climbing (The Edge) 1:30:00 [0]

Decided I needed to work on my endurance so did a session at the Edge with Hilary's mate Kim. He's off on the weekend to Majorca for some deep water soloing - very jealous! Got tired pretty quickly after bouldering last night but kept on pushing. Did quite a few routes on the overhanging walls and finished off on a good note with a clean run all the way up a 6a+ on the second biggest overhang despite being completely pumped before I started. Didn't enjoy the feeling quite as much as Arnie Schwarznegger says he does.

Running (to the edge and back) 33:00 [1] 6.4 km (5:09 / km)
shoes: Nike Structure Triax 11

Nice easy jog downhill all the way to the edge and then a bit of a slower run all the way back home uphill.

Running (Hillsbro) 45:00 [1] 8.0 km (5:38 / km)
shoes: adidas adistar control

Ran the long way (down to Rivelin and then along the trails) down to Hillsbro Park and then the short (but steep and along the road) way home with Kel and Liz.

Bouldering (The Works) 1:30:00 [0]

At the works with Jen, Oli, Nails, Hilary, Phil, Kim and Rich. A couple of new problems, nice to do some of the new purple spots but felt I was actually pretty rubbish today.

Running (Wangen An De Ass) 32:00 [2] *** 5.0 km (6:24 / km)
shoes: montrail phoenix

Ran through town and out to the forest, did a loop around some trails and then back in to town to run through some of the sprint model controls. Nice to have (just) enough time to get out for a run!

Jase was rubbish relocating without a compass to orientate the map

Gym (Circuits) 51:00 intensity: (15:00 @2) + (36:00 @4)
shoes: Nike Structure Triax 11

ran down to circuits did the session and then ran home the slightly longer way partly with danger and camel. First time at circuits for me, was a good session!

Running long (Ian Hodgson leg 4) 2:00:00 [3] 18.0 km (6:40 / km) +1050m 5:10 / km
shoes: inov8 x-talon 215

Starting from the campsite ran with Randyslacks, Lloyd and some Penine folk out to the start of the 4th leg and then did the route going up and over fairfield. Glorious sunny weather and amazing views, but the blisteringly cold wind at the top of Fairfield was a reminder of yesterday. Took the fast option of sliding down on our arses on the final descent, fun but risky with the odd patch of rock hidden amongst the tufty grass. Lent Randyslacks my spare hat I had packed when we were on Fairfield - Jenny would have been proud.

Running (Ian Hodgson reccie) 1:08:00 [2] 10.0 km (6:48 / km) +535m 5:22 / km
shoes: montrail phoenix

Went to reccie the third leg of the Ian Hodgson relay going up to and past Angle Tarn with Randyslacks. It was cold, wet and windy a real character building run in the Lakes. The final part of the leg was a foot under water. We were unsurprised to find out a little while later that the race had been cancelled.

Bouldering (The works) 45:00 [0]

short but hard session with Neil. Knocked off one of the two problems I was stuck on and made good progress on the other. Did a few other new routes good enough to add to the Oli file.
