Running 10:40 intensity: (21 @0) + (3:32 @1) + (3:45 @2) + (2:53 @3) + (9 @4) 2.28 km (4:40 / km) +33m 4:21 / km
ahr:149 max:177 shoes: Inov-8 f-lite 230 (lime/black)

PWHFW. Proper english conditions, windy and freezing rain. Had warmed up and was about half way through my first 2km tempo section when I felt a little tightening in my calf. Felt like I could have kept running but as I was right next to the last bus stop before home (express for last 5km) decided the smart thing to do was to catch the bus and hopefully be right again for later in the week.

Running 31:07 intensity: (23 @0) + (1:49 @1) + (20:32 @2) + (8:13 @3) + (10 @4) 7.3 km (4:16 / km) +60m 4:06 / km
ahr:157 max:175 shoes: NB M860 V2

HFW. Bit of a progression run with the last 4km at faster than 4min/km with a very short cool down at the end.

Trying to inject a bit more pace in to some of my runs over the next couple of weeks.

Orienteering race 31:18 intensity: (18 @0) + (25 @1) + (2:46 @2) + (17:34 @3) + (10:12 @4) + (3 @5) 5.55 km (5:39 / km) +165m 4:55 / km
ahr:171 max:185 shoes: Inov-8 bare-grip

Majura Pines middle distance race. Happy with a clean and pretty smooth run, about 6 mins off the pace which would have been largely running speed, felt like I could have kept the pace up for at least double the distance but didn't have another gear to shift up to. Not surprising considering the complete lack of anything faster than 4 min/km for the last 6 months in my training.

Bit worried that I might get done by lazydave, will have to wait for the results.

Have planned some long intervals, fartlek and tempo runs for the next three weeks leading up to the Goorooyaroo Half Marathon and will then look to do some a little faster and maybe even some more specific o training before the Northern territory NOLs.

First time running in my Inov-8 bare-grips, aggressive tread and decent thickness rubber but no midsole at all. Probably one of the best o shoes I have run in, might be a bit too thin for longer rockier races but so far I am definitely a fan.

Running 48:38 intensity: (16 @0) + (9:01 @1) + (36:49 @2) + (2:32 @3) 9.31 km (5:13 / km) +173m 4:47 / km
ahr:152 max:168 shoes: Inov-8 f-lite 230 (lime/black)

RTW. Embarrasingly got a bit disorientated in the cloud and rain and kept on running around Mt Taylor for an extra km or so instead of turning off for work.

Not exactly the best start to my 4 week training block leading up to the Goorooyaroo Trail Half Marathon, was sick at the start of the week but feeling okay now so hopefully at least get in a decent long run tomorrow.

Running 32:42 [2] 7.3 km (4:29 / km) +57m 4:19 / km
shoes: NB M860 V2

HFW. New route to avoid having to cross Drakeford Drive at peak hour, also eliminates the need to run with a head torch which is handy.

Feeling okay after a week of feeling pretty crap, starting with a cold on Monday.
