Lunchtime run with Steve from the office, down to Rowsley along the river and then looped back to the office via the hill north of the road.

First drills session post Coach Candy, got into routine of warm-up, warm-up drills, technique drills, strides, circuit of speed ladder, accelerations and plyometrics, then sprints to finish. Was good. Second group starts with Coach Candy next week while we look after ourselves.

Triple crossing of Kinder, absolutely amazing up on the top, all white and frozen with plenty of snow. Started from near the Snakes Pass Inn.

Took the group for a 10 min warm up jog and then 15 minutes of drills. then took a group around the line course before shadowing one of the juniors around the short and long legs exercise. Cracking map around Burbage mines - nice work Marcus, and good day of training organised by John.

Substituted for Richard at Kim and Richards regular Wednesday circuit session (with a personal trainer). Some good circuits and then some boxing at the end. Was knackered by the end, really good session.

Warm-up, drills, speed drills, then 6 x 50m timetrial (OUCH!) followed by some light plyometrics. Just about everybody improved their time by 1 sec or more from the first week! Coach Candy (that's Kelly by the way) is a genius!

Ran with Steve on his warm up then down to Lilleshall Abby which was amazing. Got a bit off track on the way back and was a bit worried when gunshots started in the forest block I was running next to. I tried to look as unbirdlike as possible and made my way back.

Headed out early to collect the controls from last nights training before they went missing. Seemed to be even slipperier than last night but the daylight and lack of fog made things a lot easier.

Hanging the controls for night training at Bingham. Would have made my life easier to get them out in the daylight but ran out of time so hung them with my headtorch. Quite foggy as well so visibility was only about 10m. Tricky stuff.

Skills and Drills with Coach Candy. Had a bruised hip after slipping on some icy turf yesterday and my glute flared up a bit because of this. Pretty sore after the session but will hopefully settle down.
