Orienteering race 1:26:00 [4] ***** 8.3 km (10:22 / km)
spiked:9/13c shoes: Olway yellow

Ok race. Again i tried to just go steady. for the first 6 controls i did this very well. then on the long trail run to 7 i was pretty confident since i saw i just had a few close controls and then a long run back to the finish that looked pretty simple. after the long leg to 7 though, i think i stopped focusing a bit and bobbled the control and saw olof who started 10 minutes behind. This got me a bit flustered and i made about 15 minutes of mistakes on the next 4 controls. I ran the last few controls with Andy from the US, which was fun becuase we were flying through them, trying to leave each other behind...In the end , the being tired and losing focus was the main reason for those mistakes as it often is for me in these long races.

Orienteering race 28:30 [5] ***** 3.6 km (7:55 / km)
spiked:10/13c shoes: Olway yellow

good race, and great result. When i finished, i didn't know if it was going to be enough, because it wasn't a perfect race. My plan was to go steady since i knew it was very hard terrain, and this paid off since i made only minor mistakes. However in some places i didn't run hard enough and was too hesitant.
