Orienteering race (UniNSW) 20:18 [5] *** 2.9 km (7:00 / km) +48m 6:28 / km
spiked:13/17c shoes: New Balance

Slow to get going and then pulled up early on 2 while still adjusting to the map. Probably sub-optimal 3-4, and 5 was a shocker. 10 also a shocker as failed to read under cover pass thru despite it being well marked. Slow leg to 11 while being overly cautious. Crushed the rest of the course including the fastest finish split of the day.

Enjoyed the relay. Partnered with sledger WIz and we finished a credible 10th. I was pleased with my race and left maybe one 20sec error on way to 9, and was slow on way to 1 and again to 11 but otherwise clean alto
hough would have liked to be faster.

Just felt like I never really got into this race. Splits say I was doing well thru the opening 7 legs in the tricky sand, but 1st open run leg and I had a blow out. Make some small errors at 12, 13 and 15 which was frustrating.

I'd planned on a slow jog but Don was running angry on my behalf! Once I dropped him off, I kept up the pace. Seems I had enough residual amger over system issues to maintain the rage. Hammy felt ok.
