O race (O open fell) 1:39:50 [5]

Weather was terrible, but I was wrapped up and didn't really feel too bad once I got going.
Made a good start to #1. Had good map contact all the way.
Made a hash of contouring round to the north half way to #2. Ended up on a dangerous, rocky, steep slope. By the time I'd got myself out of it, I'd completely lost map contact. Instead of relocating on the path as I crossed it, I tried to run in the right direction and hoped. It was too misty for that to work. Eventually got back onto the path and relocated. Then found the control ok. But this shows how much more work I need to do to cope on this terrain. Thought I might have to give up as I wandered round in the rain, mist and wind.
No more disasters after that. Lost time as I overshot #4, but realised I was doing it. Was quite close as I went by, but couldn't quite match the terrain to the map.
Lost a bit at #6 as well. Was close again, but I think I had the wrong bit of rock as my attack point.
Some of the other legs were solid. Even to #7 where I stopped twice to help people!
