O race (Park) 39:32 [4]

A very tired effort. Felt like my legs were empty at the start. Picked it up a bit as I went on, but I'm in danger of putting myself in a box.

A messy run too. Misread the veg in the circle to #2, so ran too far round rather than just running straight to the control. Lost 40s.

Took the wrong path out from #11 as there was someone else running in. Stupid, need to focus. Lost 40s.

O race (Urban) 55:41 [4] **

The map doesn't have north up (it's about 315deg). That made me very hesitant going to #1 and was the reason I took the wrong path on the way to #14. Lost about 60s.
Legs were a bit tired from the ride up, but was running ok.
Didn't read the control description at #8, so faffed around in the circle until I did read it. lost about 30s.
Don't know why I took the exit from the estate to #18 that I did. Brain fade. Only lost about 10s though.

O 39:03 [3]

Running away from the start, I was struggling to get my head round the scale of the map. Fortunately James Lyne ran past me and into the correct turning. I think I might have run past it otherwise!
After that, a good run, with no mistakes. The map was really good. All the little patches of white wood were where they should be and I seemed to hit them all when I expected. Having so much fun, I barely noticed the driving rain.
