Long but fun. Good apart from the first control. Not feeling the best physically after being sick all week but thinking through things well in general and trying to be smart even when i was tired.
So the first control: clearly wasn't reading my map in the slightest, just worrying about running as fast as the other girls. Didn't see them split in front of me and went all the way to the wrong fork before I stopped and worked out where i had gone and where to go. Then i ran my own race, by myself and orienteered properly. Lost 2:30 on #13, didn't read contours and ended up too low and took me a while to figure it out and fix it up.
Lots of positives I can take from this race, just need to learn how to run with people around.
Looking forward to next years!
