Australian Middle Distance Championships at Petticoat Gully.
Not as great a result as yesterday but still an enjoyable run. Time losses were mainly from not trusting myself and going cautiously to some controls and taking simpler, safer routes to others. Also lost time going to #9 and #11 where I was being silly and not reading the detail on the map properly. Total time loss is probably around 4 and a half minutes.
Starting to get more confident and used to this mining terrain.
3rd Aussie, 10th overall.

Victorian Middle Distance Championships at Creswick Diggings.
Pretty clean run, took the first few a bit slower and cautiously as it was my first ever time in mining terrain, but I think I settled well.
Was pushing a lot to try to keep up with two girls from New Zealand which was really good.
In total I think I probably lost about 3 and a half mins over controls #2, 3, 4 and 9 but overall a really good race. Very happy with result too.
1st Aussie, 3rd overall.

Wore different shoes to see how I felt in them and to see if they would be good for auschamps but I started to get a bit of knee pain again so I don't think that I will be bringing them down this weekend.
