Running - Trail (Easy flat grass) 31:17 [2] 5.48 km (5:42 / km) +119m 5:09 / km
ahr:129 max:145 shoes: Nike Pegasus 38

5k round and round the rec - wanted both flat and grassy so limited choices from home.
3xstrides at the end. Feeling okay for tomorrow but it's uncomfortably warm.

Note
(rest day)

Bit of a wander in the sunshine, otherwise nothing.
One more run tomorrow morning I think.

Running - Road/Track intervals (Taper session) 59:48 [3] 11.96 km (5:00 / km) +88m 4:49 / km
ahr:131 max:151 shoes: Nike Pegasus 38

5k easy
3k marathon pace
4k easy

Canal and middlewood way, so dull. Warm and sunny. Lots of tedious other people to avoid.
Marathon pace felt harder to maintain after 5k easy than it did just doing 15k marathon pace all in one go, which was weird. Otherwise okay though.
One Bloks holder on each arm seemed to work so will go with that.

ahr:139 max:157 shoes: Pegasus 36 Trail

Chat pace with Allen and Richard. Good temperature, nice evening. Trying out arm holder for Bloks. Think I might use one on each arm to minimise bounce.

Note

I read some marathon tapering advice which said I probably shouldn't be running up any hills in the preceding week, which was at odds with the fell session tonight which would've had some. Retrospectively I should've gone anyway as it wouldn't have been too fast, but feeling a bit tired due to the last couple of weeks being pretty high mileage. So a rest day probably won't kill me.

Bought an arm holder for the Bloks which seems to work quite well.

Running - Road/Track (Village loop) 31:19 [3] 7.03 km (4:27 / km) +117m 4:07 / km
ahr:145 max:160 shoes: Nike Pegasus 38

Testing out ways to carry Bloks. Conclusion: gel loops in shorts no good; Bloks too narrow, jiggle out eventually. Don't like them in the back pocket either as they bounce too much. Need to buy a solution.

Solo since no-one wanted to run with me :(
Feeling ok after the weekends effort's tbh.
