Orienteering - Urban race (Norwich City Race) 48:20 [5] 10.69 km (4:31 / km) +118m 4:17 / km

Really good course, lots of route choice and variety. Only one mistake with it looks like plenty of people made, finding the wrong courtyard near the end. Dont think my route 10-11 was very good, should've taken underpass rather than bridge. Pleased to win the uphill legs.

Knee noticeable but not really painful; good news.

Local knowledge clearly very important here - mine being 10 years old definitely hindered me! Lost time being on the wrong level on the control near the end (assumed 'canopy' description implied lower level - wrong) but mainly route choices didn't take the best stairs.
I don't know how the people coped who had never been there at all.

Did well on the TempO for possibly the first time ever,4th/29.

Enjoyed this, should probably do more of it when the opportunity arises.

Great time reminiscing in general.

Running - Trail intervals (Hill Reps - Nab Head) 47:59 [5] 5.97 km (8:02 / km) +479m 5:44 / km
ahr:128 max:153 (injured) shoes: X-Talon 212 (May 17)

Hill reps from my new house :)
I think it's fair to say that that's quite a lot of climb for 6k.

Rep is 160m with about 30m ascent; walk down recovery.

The first one I went right from the bottom (540m, 83m ascent). The other 9:

1:17,18,13,13,17,17,18,19,15

Reasonably consistent, probably could have managed a few more. Disappointed to be nowhere on the Strava segments, I'd need to knock 20 seconds off to be at the top which I don't think is ever going to happen.

Obviously I will create a segment for the downhill.

Now I've massaged the hell out of the surrounding muscles, knee felt much better although still niggly on the way down.

Looking for a partner for the Saunders (30th June/1st July); Bowfell course after coming 2nd on Kirkfell last year; any interest?

Spent the entire evening changing my address; who knew it took so long?!

Running - Trail (MH Fell Training) 1:19:02 [3] 10.44 km (7:34 / km) +377m 6:25 / km
ahr:146 max:176 (injured) shoes: Salomon Fellraiser

Feeling much better. Still weird at the start, and uncomfortable for the first half an hour of running, but had eased off so much by the end that it was hardly noticeable. Good sign.
Fitness seems ok although hard to tell on an easy run.

Raining.
