It's not even worth analysing this it was so dire. Bad headache throughout - last time this happened i took both paracetamol and ibuprofen and had a terrible run; assumed it was the drugs.this time I took nothing and had a terrible run, so I think it's the headache.just couldn't concentrate on anything; messed up 10 of the 27 controls and lost about 22 minutes.

Just wanted it to be over for most of the race. It's not often you're quite glad to have mispunched.

Most of the area is quite nice but there were 3 horrible controls in rough open/gorse/bracken which were not pleasant at all; I'm not sure why they persist in using those bits.some good route choice legs and running speed was ok, so shame my mental state was not suited to enjoying it.

Running - Trail race (Parkrun - Wotton) 19:23 [5] 5.0 km (3:53 / km) +33m 3:45 / km
shoes: X-Talon 190 (blue)

Course was amended (ie, made longer) to avoid a bit of the course that was no muddier than the rest of it - bit weird.

2nd; winning for about a mile, then just behind Dan until about 200m to go, overtook him for the first hundred but couldn't match his finish.good competitiveness though :)

Running - Trail warm up/down (Extended) 30:00 [2] 4.0 km (7:30 / km)
shoes: X-Talon 190 (blue)

Extended warm up/down to try and prevent further injuries...

Gym Cardio 5:00 [2]

A bit early for the class; Vario.

Gym Strength 1:00:00 [4]

Second attempt at Body Pump.

Upped the weight for some of the exercises; this was probably a mistake. I think I could do a bit more for the squats but still need the minimum for everything else!

Swimming 10:00 [2]

Gym Cardio 30:00 [3]

20 Vario
10 Crossover

Gym Strength 30:00 [3]

This was meant to be CX WORX but the instructor was off, so we did a generic abs class instead.

Reasonably hard but not as tough as pump. Suspect I already have some abs.

Swimming 15:00 [3]

20 lengths.

Really should find out how long the pool is.

There was meant to be 400,400 at the end but he decided not to implement that.

Can feel yesterday's gym session everywhere, but it was the general fitness level leaving me at the back of the group...
