Orienteering race 53:21 [3] 7.17 km (7:26 / km) +111m 6:54 / km

FVO Local Orienteering Event, Beecraigs East, Blue Course (5.8 km) in 53.10, but will be disqualified due to accidentially missing out control 9. Slow plod round an easy course on a fairly familiar area. First visit to the wood north of the Visitors' Centre, where one control (182, number 17 on the Blue Course) was misplaced. A solid workout.

Walk 1:30:08 [1] 4.68 km (19:15 / km) +87m 17:37 / km

Stroll around Beecraigs with Rachel and Pippin after the orienteering.

Road Race race 24:41 [4] 5.11 km (4:50 / km) +84m 4:28 / km

Ruchill parkun #180. Hard effort on a warm morning, being pushed all the way by an injured Ben Stansfield just in my peripheral vision. Official result 27/68 in 24:37, my quickest time at Ruchill since the first lockdown and almost two minutes quicker than my (hideous) previous visit a month ago.

Note
(rest day)

Rest and recovery day after the 10 K. Didn't actually feel as bad as I expected I would.

Road Race race 48:55 [5] 9.98 km (4:54 / km) +43m 4:48 / km

Helensburgh 10K. Of course, I would have liked a quicker time (!), but I've got to be pleased with a pretty solid effort on a nice (i.e. flat and straight) course with lots of spectators were I kept going pretty well all the way to the end. First 5 K in 23:51, second 5 K in 24:58. Official result 229/478 in 48:49. Other notable results included Alice McCartney 42:59, Al Dunlop 46:52, and Rachel Wilson 68:46.

Resting up for the Helensburgh 10 K tomorrow.

Terrain Run 53:47 [3] 7.41 km (7:15 / km) +243m 6:14 / km

Clockwise loop of the 356 Trig loop, ascending via the bunker, on a warm Tuesday afternoon. Rather unusually, saw two walkers (!) on the hill on the descent. Still relatively dry underfoot.
8 PM

Urban Orienteering 17:55 [3] 2.95 km (6:04 / km)

Collecting the Short Course Controls. Official time (including faffing with the kite, wire and padlock at each control) 17:39.

Cycling 1:01:49 [3] 18.76 km (3:18 / km) +267m 3:05 / km

A fairly short but fairly brisk evening cycle, featuring a first ever ride along the newly-resurfaced stretch of Tower Road and PRs coming over Baldernock Lynn and on probably my most cycled segment up the hill from Milngavie Road to Kilmardinny Arts Centre.
