Family walk round the roads near Fishers Brae. Nice change from the golf course.

Conditioning 25:00 [3]

Jessie Diggins conditioning - 20 x 45sec exercise, 15 sec rest, plus some weights and other exercises. Still a long way to get to the serene perfection of a well conditioned core specialist, but gradually transitioning away from giving birth noises...

Road Running 25:33 [3] 3.54 mi (7:13 / mi) +50m 6:55 / mi

Loop from the house via Kettilstoun, Braehead and Avalon Gardens with a few strides thrown in towards the end.
8 AM

Road Running race 5:18 [5] 1.0 mi (5:18 / mi) +10m 5:08 / mi

Scottishathletics virtual 1 mile time trial. Out and back course in Avalon Gardens with a small loop at the far end. Finished with 100m in the industrial estate. Set out quick and worked pretty hard. Not the fastest of courses with the slight uphill on the way out but as fast as could be done close to home. Target had been sub 5.20 so happy enough. Just can't run any faster these days though newer racing flats would help! Decent conditions with little wind though quite humid. Got eight Carnethy folk running so at least got a team this time, and a decent masters team.

Warm down up round industrial estate, Avalon Gardens then home.

Preston Road Hill loop, Braehead, Williamcraigs, golf course out & back then home. Not quite so cold so t-shirt for a change. Felt OK. Looking forward to the mile TT tomorrow.

Jessie Diggins' core workout 20 x 45sec on/ 15secs off. Felt a bit better this time helped by wearing trainers.

Williamcraigs double hills out & back plus view point. Steady effort, not great, not bad. Another lovely morning.

Run up to Williamcraigs, golf course out and back, then recced a one mile loop in Avalon Gardens to finish, running 30secs brisk, 30 secs float round the loop (mile in 6.12). Another blue sky frosty morning. Felt ok. looking forward to the mile TT at the weekend.

Avalon Gardens, Braehead, Williamcraigs, Golf Course out & back. Another blue sky morning and a frost. Felt sluggish at start but picked up a bit, so better than yesterday.

Williamcraigs double hills out & back. Quite the opposite of Saturday, a grey rainy day and felt quite lethargic, so just relaxed and set quite a slow pace.
